Top 5 Things I Love About Call of Duty: Mobile

top5thingsilove

Call of Duty: Mobile’s first anniversary is fast approaching and I don’t see this game slowing down any time soon. The first annual World Championship has just begun and we’re surely going to esport or competitive league very soon, so there’s never been a better time to be a fan of this game.

There are more than a few mobile first-person shooters out there on the market right now, but I’ve been attached to Call of Duty: Mobile for a while now and I honestly don’t see myself playing any other mobile shooter again in the future and there’s a very good reason for that.

I continue to be impressed by the developer’s commitment to optimizing their game and the respect they have for the player base with the seasonal rewards. As one of the game’s biggest fans, I thought we’d take a look at my top five things I love about Call of Duty: Mobile.

#1 – Battle Royale Mode

Call of Duty: Mobile’s Multiplayer mode is still a great experience when it comes to mobile shooters but I fell hard for the game’s one of a kind Battle Royale mode. I was already familiar with the concept after playing games like PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Mobile, but Call of Duty just took it to the next level for me.

Whether I was playing a Solo game or as a Squad, I quickly found myself immersed in the experience, playing round after round until I climbed up to Legendary Rank. And then, just when I think I’ve mastered the basics, they add new areas to explore on the map and new destructive vehicles to zoom around the map with.

I see myself playing Call of Duty: Mobile’s Battle Royale Mode for a long time and Season 9 is set to change the game once again and I can’t wait.

#2 – The Soldiers

The mainstream Call of Duty franchise is one that many of us grew up with and, over the years, we’ve been introduced to an abundance of memorable characters and unique stories that are worth going back to time and time again (except for Call of Duty: Ghosts…we don’t talk about that one).

Imagine my delight when I saw my favorite heroes and villains make their way to mobile as playable characters. I mean, Vladimir Makarov was the dude that terrorized the world in the Modern Warfare saga and I actually get to use him in Battle Royale. Just the nostalgia alone was enough to make me invest in some CoD Points.

With so many stories from different eras, it will be interesting to see which characters are made playable in the future and just how that will impact the comic book story that has slowly been release since Season 6.

#3 – New Skins

No matter what Battle Royale game you play, I’m sure we can all agree that we all wanna stand out and look unique on the battlefield and customize our characters in-game. Rather than giving players small items, like t-shirts and pants, Call of Duty: Mobile release completely new versions of each soldier.

Some are just re-skins with a new color palette thrown on an old design, but every new Battle Pass, crate, and seasonal reward also brings a soldier with a one of a kind look that usually incorporates the ongoing theme of the season.

Right now, the story is set in a pseudo-post-apocalyptic future and the new skins make soldiers like Tank Dempsey look like they should be on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road. It gets better with every season and I’m eager to see what the 9th one brings.

#4 – GunPlay

When it comes to first-person shooters, mobile gaming was lacking for a very long time. I remember the days when Modern Combat 5 was the best we had and the gunplay was always sub-par at best. You’ll be surprised how many mobile game developers don’t believe guns have recoil.

Each weapon in Call of Duty: Mobile feels unique and you have to spend a bit of time with each to get familiar with their recoil patterns and learn how to use them effectively in-game. They’re always making improvements to get the best out of the experience and Season 9 is bringing the best improvements to this day.

Gunsmith has been previewed in the Test Server and is set to drop with the new season, unlocking a plethora of new attachments to customize your gun anyway you want to.

#5 -Controller Support

It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of gaming controllers and I use one to play all of my games across multiple platforms, including retro emulators on Android and PC games on Steam, so I couldn’t wait to start using one in Call of Duty: Mobile as well.

Right now there are only two official controllers supported by the game. The PlayStation 4’s Dualshock controller and the Xbox One controller and I honestly wouldn’t want it any other way. They’re the some of the most premium controllers you can get and it ensures that no one is cheating with a modified controller.

Don’t be alarmed if you use a touch screen, though, because all controller players are put in the same lobby and only play against other players using a controller.

The Best is Yet to Come

Call of Duty: Warzone is one of the biggest games out there right now and the mobile version’s Battle Royale mode is set to incorporate a lot of Warzone’s features into the game. Things like custom loadouts and ven armor plates are going to b implemented and it’s set to change the way we play mobile shooters forever.

A new Ranked season is also beginning as well and the climb up to Legendary Rank is one of my favorite parts, so I’m beyond hyped for all that is in store for Call of Duty players and can’t wait to experience it all for myself.

I am also a very big fan of the call of duty mobile. Interestingly, I have been a fan since they started on the PC. The mobile game brings a whole new perspective to first-person shooter games as well. I see that this says there has been some comparison of the game to the pubg game as well but having played them both, I think that call of duty is a better game.
