Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 Review – Part III

Review Part 3

Throughout Season 7, we’ve been treated to various rewards and new downloadable content and it has been a feast, to say the least. This season has brought some of the best skins to date and its never been cooler to have your unique look on the battlefield.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, and yeah it’s crossed my mind as well. Skins are waaay too expensive and, at the end of the day, it doesn’t improve the overall gameplay. But if you’re a die-hard Call of Duty: Mobile fan like me, you know that it’s still worth it to style on your enemies with an out-of-this-world outfit.

There are so many crates to choose from and not all of them are worth the extra effort to obtain, so I thought we’d take a look at some of my favorite crates from this season and some that you should probably avoid in Season 7 of Call of Duty: Mobile.

Bus Driver Crate

T.E.D.D.

Right off the bat, we have to talk about the greatest skin in Call of Duty: Mobile history. I know I was a big fan of Kreuger – Alchemist but bus driver T.E.D.D. is a look so unique I never thought that it would come to the game. I mean, when he made his first debut, he wasn’t even a playable character.

For those that don’t know, T.E.D.D. first made his appearance in the TranZit Zombie mode from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Players traveled to numerous locations whilst fighting the Undead hordes and this peppy and mostly durable bus driver sat in the front seat, taking you where you needed to go.

On top of all that, this crate includes a bus driver emote, so you can show off your wannabe bus-driving skills in the winner’s circle.

Clean Up Crew Crate

From one outstanding crate to one that’s a lot more…underwhelming. Soap may be a beloved character of the franchise but this skin is absolutely boring. The only real reason I’d get it is the fact that he matches all the other items and weapons in the “Caution” skin range and it would be nice to complete the set.

It’s worth 1 or 2 tries at the most, just for a shot at the dope avatar or bag but otherwise, I’d say save your money for a different crate that has a lot more enticing prizes. The emote is cool as well but, if you ask me, it’s only worthwhile if you’ve got a scary suit already to match the sinister vibe that the emote has.

This skin is nowhere near sinister enough.

The Astronaut Crate

Krystof “Firebreak” Hejek made his first appearance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and he has his fair share of skins the mobile realm. However, instead of the familiar, bulky, pyromaniac suit that he regularly wears, he comes fitted in a very burnt Astronaut suit and an Undead face that asks more questions than it answers.

There’s a great new Antelope skin in here as well that fits with the overall orange motif quite well and the calling and emote make it worth more than a few tries to get these prizes from the crate. The emote is…okay I guess, but It’s not really the prize I’m crossing my fingers for if you know what I mean.

Definitely worth spending a few CoD Points on.

Spectral Crate

Now, a lot of fans have been complaining over Twitter and Reddit that Call of Duty skins are meant to be grounded in reality and reflect a more realistic scene than games like Fortnite and I agree. But right now, we’re going to make an epic exception to that request.

This has to be one of the slickest designs I’ve seen in a while from a character that’s always had one of the best-armored suits in the franchise. They kept his original katana and spiced it all up with an incredible variation and I absolutely love the skeletal look on the mask.

Not only is the skin great, but the majority of the extras in this crate are items that I want to get my hands, especially since I play a lot of Battle Royale and all of these, especially the helicopter skin, are on my wishlist.

Silver Ghouls Crate

Without a doubt, there’s only one reason I would ever spend CoD points on this crate and that’s for the M4. This gun was teased throughout Season 6 as we took a look at all the leaks for the upcoming season and now its finally here.

But wow, all the other items in this crate are seriously underwhelming. I wish this skin was a purchase that could be made in the store because there is no way I’m going to open all these crates and sift through all these prizes that I don’t want just to get the M4 skin.

It’s one of my favorite guns to use in Battle Royale along with the AK117 but I think I’m going to have to let this one go. Hopefully, there will be an epic new skin for the M4 in the future.

The Hits Are Going To Keep Coming

So from rare and extremely valuable crates, this season of Call of Duty: Mobile has certainly delivered with more amazing content and it only makes me more excited for Season 8. Word on the street is that CODM is going back to its roots and stepping away from the fantasy-like soldiers that we have today.

So that means all the new skins that come in Season 8 are going to be grounded in reality and more focused on making hardcore soldiers than supercharged superhero gunfighters. That’s what ruined PUBG Mobile and I certainly hope Call of Duty: Mobile leans from their mistakes.

What are some of your favorite skins and crates from this new season? Do you like Bus Driver T.E.D.D. as much as I do? Let me know in the comments section below!
