Call of Duty: Mobile Season 12 – GOING DARK

Season 12

And just like that, Season 11 of Call of Duty: Mobile has come to an end. There was so much to do that I barely had time for it all. Now there’s a whole new heap of content for us to dive into as we usher in the twelfth and most exciting season yet for this game.

Adler, one of the newest characters set to join the Call of Duty franchise in Black Ops: Cold War, has arrived early on mobile and he’s ready to lead Ghost, Mara, and the rest of the survivors on a covert mission to stop the Shadow Group that have now revealed themselves to be known as The Five Knights.

It’s hard to think about how they’re planning to top the awesomeness that was the Anniversary season. There was so much new content to unlock and brand new one-of-a-kind missions to find and discover within the club. But, it seems like the devs at Call of Duty: Mobile are intent are doing things bigger and better.

This means that we get new skins for many of the members of Task Force 141 and it’s clear they’re prepared to go into the night armed and ready for battle. It’s got me excited for this season without a doubt. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at everything new and improved coming in Season 12 – GOING DARK.

The Battle Pass

Last season’s Battle Pass came with so many new and cool guns to unlock that I still haven’t had time to use and get familiar with them all. Not to mention all the new soldier skins that looked like they came straight out of Cyberpunk 2077. They’re definitely keeping the trend of super-cool content going.

Seeing the best skins from Call of Duty: Warzone come to the mobile version never gets old and this time we’re getting 2 just for grinding through the Battle Pass. But that’s not all, so let’s take a look at what we got in store in the Season 12 Battle Pass.

In the past, I was the type of player that would mostly stick to Battle Royale and would barely touch the Multiplayer aspect of the game. All that changed back in Season 9 with the release of the Gunsmith and the fact that I switched permanently to playing with an Xbox One controller.

Since then, I’ve been loving Multiplayer and I find myself excited for every new game mode that arrives with the new season and I’m constantly checking the ‘featured’ game modes to see if they brought back my all-time favorite, 10v10. It’s still the most fun I’ve had playing this game.

New Featured Game Modes

Team Deah Match – Night: Make sure you remember to pack your night vision as we turn out the lights and eliminate the enemy in pitch-black darkness.

Available on Hackney Yard, Summit, and Crash.

Attack of The Undead – Night: Everybody’s favorite Zombie substitute is back and this time there’s a brand new twist to keep you on your toes. Midnight belongs to the Undead.

Available on Hackney Yard, Summit, and Crash.

Event Rewards

It goes without saying, the rewards from all the events and challenges that pop up throughout the season are the things that keep me playing for hours and this Season has gotten me more excited than ever before. “Why?” you may ask. Well, since I started playing Call of Duty: Mobile, there’s only been 2 pistols 2 choose from.

Now, all that has changed as a brand new pistol is being released and will be available for everyone to unlock. Not to mention the new class that’s coming to my favorite mode of all, Battle Royale. So here’s all you need to know about these exciting new rewards.

  • New Base Pistol
    • .50 GS: An extremely high-powered pistol that deals destructive damage while challenging the player to keep full control of the weapon
  • New Battle Royale Class
    • Refitter: Gives you the ability to provide your whole team with armor plates that enhance bullet protection and increases the durability of body armor and vehicles making it much harder to break and destroy.

New Maps & Attachments

I was never one to get excited about a new map but all that changed when they released Shipment 1944 back in Season 9. It opened up a whole new aspect of gameplay and It’s been my go-to choice when I want to play a good round of Kill Confirmed and work on unlocking some new camos.

Seeing a new map on the menu has me excited to dive in and discover all the potential there is to dominate the game. Plus, there are some brand new attachments in the Gunsmith ready to keep things fresh and keep you working on those unique blueprints and builds.

  • New Map
    • Hackney Yard: This map comes straight out of 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, continuing the trend of bringing all the good stuff over for us mobile players. It’s a modern, gritty and hyper industrial area.
    • Available for Team Death Match, Search & Destroy, Domination, Hardpoint, and the 2 brand new night modes as well.
    • Soon to be made available for Ranked mode map rotation in Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy.

    • New Attachments
      • Extended OTM Magazine for DR-H: Increased mag capacity but a Decrease in mobility.
      • Thermite Reload for Kilo Bolt-Action: Continuously burn targets over time and do a little extra damage to scorestreaks.

My Plans For The Season

After much internal deliberation, I’ve decided to actually put in the work this season and make the climb up to Legendary Rank in Multiplayer as well instead of just pursuing it Battle Royale. It’s going to be a challenge without a doubt but I’m keen to see just how far I can get before the official rank reset at the end of the season.

I’ve been having the time of my life playing with an Xbox One controller and I’m going to use it all the way as I climb through the ranks. I will still grind for Battle Royale as well so there’s going to be a lot of gaming is done in the next few weeks. Stay tuned to follow the journey.
