Call of Duty: Mobile Season 10 Battle Pass Skins Review

Season 10 review part 1

I must say, ever since Call of Duty: Mobile started bringing out four new characters and skins with every Battle Pass I’ve been eager to purchase it every single time a new season rolls around. This time is no exception and they’ve definitely amped up the quality of the skins we have on offer in Season 10.

Following on from the story in the Call of Duty Comic Books, we’re back in the present day and the hunt for Makarov and Mace continues but this time Ghost has to pass on his heroic duties to a new character while He and Dempsey help the old man Reznov, and she’s making her way onto the mobile scene for the very first time.

If you’ve been fortunate enough to spend some time playing 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare then she’ll be a very familiar face and it’s about time that Her and Makarov (and Mace, of course) are available for all players to earn. And, I’m sure I’m not the only one excited to get their hands on these new soldier skins.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the new characters available in Season 10’s Battle Pass.

The Battle Pass Skins

Mara – Valkyrie

One of the freshest faces to be introduced to the Call of Duty franchise, Mara was introduced to us all in Modern Warfare’s first Battle Pass for Season 1. Fast forward almost 10 months and we finally have her as a playable character on the Mobile version and, based on what I’ve seen on Twitter, there’s a lot of players ready to make this their main character.

I think that’s mostly because Mara’s look was modeled after a real-life actress, which makes her one of the most realistic characters we have on the roster and she fits in well with the pool of Female soldiers that are already on offer. What’s interesting to me, however, is how basic her character model is.

While other soldiers, like Battery and Outrider, have unique designs that are specific to them, Mara’s outfit on this particular variation doesn’t stand out much with her entire outfit feeling pretty basic and ordinary. I guess it adds to the gritty nature of her character but I’m hoping we’ll get some more interesting versions of Mara shortly.

Mara – Valkyrie is available upon reaching Tier 1 of the Season 10 Battle Pass.

Outrider – Amazonas

Now for a soldier that many Call of Duty: Mobile veterans will be very familiar with. Outrider has been around almost since the game first launched and she has effortlessly kept her place on the roster for quite some time and there is an abundance of skins already available for her right now. So, one more couldn’t hurt, could it?

With so many variations of the same soldier already out there, it’s hard to get excited for another one, especially since a brand new Outrider skin was made available during Season 9 and could be purchased in a fairly cheap bundle. I mean, it’s not like she was my favorite character, to begin with.

At the end of the day, this is another soldier skin that will probably sit in my collection gathering dust. I have no intention of ever using it and if it wasn’t available as part of the Battle Pass, I probably wouldn’t be bothered to purchase it with CoD Points or grind for it as a reward.

Outrider – Amazonas is available upon reaching Tier 12 of the Season 10 Battle Pass.

Makarov – Splinter

That’s right ladies and gentleman, Call of Duty’s most infamous villain is back once again in a brand new variation and I can’t wait to add this one to my collection. I lost out when Makarov was first made available in crates but now finally there’s an even better one to use in-game.

For those that aren’t aware, Vladimir Makarov was the main antagonist throughout the original Modern Warfare trilogy so it makes perfect sense for him to be the main villain that Ghost and Mara collide within the comic strip. Plus, this skin resembles his character model in the Modern Warfare 2 level “No Russian”.

I’ve been waiting patiently for 2 whole seasons to get another chance for a Makarov skin and, while it may not be the original one that came out in Season 8, you can bet that this will probably be the skin I use in the majority of my games until the end of this season and maybe even the end of the year.

Makarov – Splinter is available upon reaching Tier 35 of the Season 10 Battle Pass.

Mace – Tombstone

Even though he is portrayed as one of Makarov’s right-hand men and enforcers in the comic book, Mace is another fresh face within the Call of Duty franchise. He made his first appearance in Modern Warfare (2019) and this is the second chance we’ve had to get Mace on mobile as well.

I have a confession: I’m a sucker for completing sets and matching all the items that I have in-game. I managed to get an avatar for the metal phantom a few seasons ago and, ever since then, I’ve been looking forward to getting the soldier to match and that time has finally come.

I’ve seen some of my favorite streamers using this skin in Call of Duty: Warzone and it’s another that I’m glad to see arriving on Mobile. I’ll be using it for a few rounds this season, especially in Battle Royale, but it’ll be hard to choose a main between these two menacing characters.

Mace – Tombstone is available upon reaching Tier 50 of the Season 10 Battle Pass.

Is It Worth It?

Call of Duty: Mobile has done it once again and provided us with a Battle Pass that is packed to the brim with new items, soldiers, and camos that make the grind completely worthwhile in terms of hours spent playing the game and the Cod points spent getting the Pass.

Not to mention the fact that you can still earn back all of the CoD points that you spend on the Battle Pass through the rewards that you collect as you climb from Tier to Tier. And with soldiers like this available, there’s never been a better time get your hands on a Pass.

Did you get the Season 10 Battle Pass? What do you think about the new soldier skins that are available? Let me know in the comments section below.
